Margaret Ann (Ford)'s Story
After graduating FPHS, I began Lamar where I met my future husband. I graduated there with a BA in 01/1968. We married in 02/1968 and moved to Houston where he received an MA from U of Houston in 08/1968. We immediately moved to Gainesville FL where he received a PhD in 06/1975. from U of FL. We then moved to Plano TX where he worked for TI/Raytheon in the Defense Division until retirement in 2008. During these moves, I worked at Rice, U of FL and Luminator until retirement in 2008. d one grandson who will be 10 in 2021. We were always fascinated with historic homes so in 11/1995 we found the 1872 Brownlee House in Bonham TX, purchased it and moved in 02/1996. It has a TX Historical Marker and was fully restored when we purchased it but the upkeep really keeps us busy and we thrive on it!! We really enjoy travel and have visited 39 countries so far with plans to visit more. We have not visited Beaumont since 2004 as we have no relatives there anymore, but would attend a reunion if possible. Life is good!!
